A recently installed hydroSCAN On Conveyor Microwave Moisture Monitor has been successfully installed and calibrated at a major US gold mine. The system has been installed at the exit of the drier and is being used for two purposes; metallurgical accounting and drier control. The system is subject to extremes of weather as shown in the photograph below and continues to perform well.
A quote from the Superintendent confirms satisfactory performance,
“it has been running very nicely and been a great tool for us to trend and adjust the operations of the dryer!”

hydroSCAN is supplied with a rugged Support Frame which allows easy, accurate alignment the microwave transmitter and receiver housings on site. The system is also supplied with an electrical enclosure which houses the PLC which is used for data processing.
