ultraWEIGH is an economically priced load cell based beltscale, however, in a number of cases the remote location of the units can mean that cabling costs exceed the hardware costs.
Ultra-Dynamics Pty Ltd has recently developed a wireless communication system removing most of the cabling costs. The project consisted of 5 ultraWEIGH systems installed on product conveyor belts.
The units were grouped together according to their physical locations and two transceivers were supplied for the two groups. The beltscales communicated wirelessly to the central MCC room and interfaced with a marshalling cubicle. From this cubicle the information was connected to the plant DCS.

The Ultra-Dynamics ultraWEIGH Beltscale is now available in Australia. ultraWEIGH is a single idler load cell belt weigher intended for applications in which cost is of major concern and a lessor accuracy than that provided by multi idler systems is acceptable
